Young performers put on Shakespeare show

Young performers put on Shakespeare show

Posted: 8th March 2022

Young performers had an early taste of Shakespeare when they put on a production for a live audience.

Year 5 pupils performed a version of Macbeth to their parents.

Whitney Watson, Year 5 class teacher, said: “The children have had a great early learning experience of Shakespeare.

“Every child has been working extremely hard over the last few weeks to learn lines and bring the performance to life. Throughout the entire process, they showed a great deal of enthusiasm, dedication and hard work.

“The final performance was incredible. They showed bravery and confidence in front of an audience of their parents. They showed a great understanding of the challenging Shakespearean language and created a thoroughly enjoyable performance.

“Their performance was outstanding. I am beyond proud of the hard work and dedication they have shown. I am in awe of their confidence and talent at such a young age. It is a fantastic and memorable experience to introduce them to the world of Shakespeare and drama.

“The school is very proud of everyone and thankful to all the parents who came to show their support.”
