Breakfast Club

The aim of the Roydon Primary School Breakfast Club is to provide high quality care and a healthy breakfast for children before the start of their school day.

At breakfast club, we are able to provide children with a healthy meal at the beginning of the day as well as a safe and familiar environment. Research into Breakfast Clubs has shown that children who attend:

  • Have improved attendance at school
  • Are more relaxed and ready to learn if they have eaten and had an enjoyable start to the day
  • Have improved concentration and academic performance
  • Develop their social skills and interaction

Benefits for Parents:

  • Reassurance that their children are safe and in school at the correct time.
  • Meets the needs of the family by enabling them to return to full /part or shift work or training.

Terms and Conditions

Dropping off

Children must be brought to the side gate where they will be taken in by a member of staff.  This is to ensure the safe arrival of all of the children.  All children must be signed in NO EARLIER than 7.30am and NO LATER than 8am.   Any arrivals after 8am will not be accepted.

Breakfast

Children will be given a choice of foods from a breakfast menu, including: toast and various spreads; a range of healthy cereals; fruit and a choice of drinks.

There will be a range of activities available for the children each morning including; Group games, board games and art.

Booking and Payment

The cost will be £3 per session. The school’s breakfast club will be non-profit making, all money generated in fees will go towards running costs and staff.

By sending your child to breakfast club, you are agreeing to pay in advance for your child’s session at breakfast. This is to ensure that we can keep the cost of breakfast club low at £3.  Your child is not permitted to attend breakfast club if your account is in debt. If you have any queries regarding making payment, please just speak to a member of staff in the school office.

You will not be required to book a place for your child/ren as we believe that this will be more flexible for you, as a parent if you are able to drop your child/ren off when it’s suitable for you.

School Closure

If for any reason there is a school closure we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible. Please also check the Home Page of the School Website.

Contact Information

You must ensure that the School Office has your most up to date contact details should we need to contact you in an emergency.

Please ensure this is completed and handed in on the first session. Details will be checked everytime the child attends Breakfast Club.

Failure to sign your child into breakfast club or keep your ParentPay account in credit will result in your child losing their place
