Learning about animals at wildlife park

Posted: 29th June 2022

What better place to learn about animals than at a wildlife park?

Reception pupils from Roydon Primary Academy, in Roydon, visited Paradise Wildlife Park as part of their class topic on animals.

Teacher Senel Gurkan said: “Children had been learning about animals in class and the groups that they belong to. At the wildlife park, children had the opportunity to observe the animals we had been learning about in class. This provided the children with a great real-life experience of the animals.

“The class really benefitted from the trip as it was some of the children’s first experience of observing animals such as lions, snakes and tigers. It provided the children with a great discussion opportunity as they discussed the animals they were looking at closely.”
