Eco Schools Bronze Award Achieved

Eco Schools Bronze Award Achieved

Posted: 4th May 2017

We are very happy to announce that this week we have achieved the Eco-Schools Bronze Award. This shows how much work has gone in this year to working on our outdoor spaces and using them as much as possible as a learning tool. Here is just a small list of what has happened so far;

- Pond area cleared and now in use.

- Allotments cleared and starting to be used

- Litter pickers in action

- New trees planted

- Eco committee (school council) meet regularly

- Earth Day

- Eco friendly topics in curriculum

- Promotion of recycling

- Bird feeders are up around the site

- Chinese partner school

….all just to name a few

Obviously more hard work will happen and we hope to achieve the silver award in the near future. Well done to the school council and everyone involved for helping to make Roydon more eco-friendly.
