Hello and welcome children and adults of the new Roydon Primary Academy Reception class!

My name is Mr Vullo and I am the Reception Class teacher for the 2020/2021 academic year. On behalf of Mrs Myatt (Head of School) and the rest of the school staff I would like to start by welcoming you to the Roydon family.

We have built this webpage especially for you so we can share information and documents direct. If you have any questions or need any help please feel free to contact us via email Admin@roydon.essex.sch.uk or call the office on Tel. 01279 793152.

Hard copies of all documents are also available for collection at the school office and will be delivered during the home visits.

Transition timetable - what will happen next?

Sunday 14th June 2020: Dedicated ‘New Reception Class webpage’ launched.

Monday 15th June 2020: Mrs Myatt and Mr Vullo will start calling families to discuss transistion and arrange home visits. Please contact the office to book a time slot (Tel. 01279 793152).

Monday 22nd June 2020: Mr Vullo to start home visits & delivering welcome packs (including Class Dojo registration forms)

Monday 20th July 2020: Mr Vullo to start publishing daily video story on ‘New Reception Class webpage’ and Class Dojo.

What will happen in September 2020?

The government has now released some advice, so all children will be in school in September, Reception class will have the following start and end times for the first few weeks:

Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September 9.30am-12pm pupils won't be staying for lunch.

Week beginning Monday 7th September 8.40am-1.15pm - pupils will stay for lunch

Week beginning Monday 14th 8.40am-2.50pm
