Hello and welcome children and adults of the new Roydon Primary Academy Reception class!

My name is Mrs Myatt and I am the Head of School at Roydon Primary Academy. On behalf of all the school staff I would like to start by welcoming you to the Roydon family.

Here are a few words from our new Reception Class Teacher for the 2021/2022 academic year Miss Gurkan.

We have built this webpage especially for you so we can share information and documents direct. If you have any questions or need any help please feel free to contact us via email Admin@roydon.essex.sch.uk or call the office on Tel. 01279 793152.

Hard copies of all documents are also available for collection at the school office and will be delivered during the home visits.

Transition - what will happen next?

Home visits will start on the week commencing the 5th July 2021. You will shortly be getting a phone call to arrange a suitable day/time.

Stay and play sessions will also begin on the week commnecing the 5th July 2021 between 3:30pm and 4pm in groups of 4 pupils with one parent per pupil. This will also be arranged on the phone you will recieve. 

What will happen in September 2021?

The Autumn term starts on Friday 3rd September 2021.

To ensure a smooth transition into school the children will have a start time of 9am and a finish time of 12.30pm from the 3rd to the 10th September 2021.

Your child can either order a school cooked meal or please provide your child with a packed lunch. The lunch menu is on the school website.
